Statistics....
Then there’s the period where your goalie gives up four goals on 11 shots

and you are glad he somehow managed to “keep the score close”

You really got to wonder who made the bigger mistake. Michaels deciding to go to Amazon or Buck leaving Fox for ESPN. Streaming sports games blow and World Series wasn’t the same. Some are saying it was Buck’s biggest mistake since booking Artie Lange for the premier episode of the Joe Buck Show.

One of the only hits thrown out by the Sabres and it has to be a nonsensical smashing of an opposing player into our own tender. Going back a few years this was a normal occurrence. Our goalies not only get run into by the opposing guys we help them go in harder. Time to get some tuff boys who hit and hurt the other team. Trade for Crouse now.

It’s obvious the GM/Mgmt are not going to do anything to fix obvious holes in the roster. (For the third year in a row) We don’t need goons but I would say anyone who does not take the body to remove the puck from the other team is in Rochester or scratched. They seem to be avoiding any contact which I hope is not coming from coaching. Don’t need the the huge mid-ice collision or the hit 2 seconds after the puck is gone. But we do do need to physically step in front of opponents with the puck and not just wave the stick at them with one hand.

Arbitrary stats as there is ZERO correlation between the teams that hit the most & the teams that win the most

Even in you RIDICULOUS example of supposed evidence….
The teams who had more hits went 5-8

Dallas & the Preds were outhit more than 2 to 1,
yet they still won

Hitting/being tough does NOT lead to wins-
not necessarily
I know that doesn’t make sense
But it’s the truth
Your own presented data even show this

I did not draw any conclusions except to say just about every team - that's the ones who won and the ones who lost for you slow kids - playing last night significantly outhits the Buffalo Sabres. You can continue to ignore that all you'd like, but it only shows you have no arguement.

I think we know why you were trying to point out
But that’s fine, we can pretend like you didn’t have a point & your intention was just to say we don’t hot as much as other teams do

Regardless,
obviously the team who hits more doesn’t mean they’ll win

The stat just doesn’t matter

It's not even the hitting, they don't even try to get in the way, or even just lean on a guy.

Our esteemed former blogger Mr. Ghofrani advocated trading Reinhart plus for Roope Hintz I believe more than 2 years ago.

Can't imagine what things would be looking like now with both Hintz and Tage as Centers.

>>> Could there be a deal on the table for Sam Reinhart? Reinhart is obviously the more proven (and superior) player. He also profiles like the kind of player Dallas loves: two-way centers. I've seen both play (hey; I had to have SOME credibility if I wanted to get into the Dahlin vs. Heiskanen debate), which is why I feel fine saying that.

However, Hintz hasn't really had a chance to get his feet wet. If Dallas could sweeten the pot, would it be worth it for Buffalo to bring in an exciting, tall, fast center with less points to offer, but also some goal-scoring potential that may not have reached, and who is cheaper to boot? Plus, how cool would it be to see two 6'3 speedsters wreck shop on the same line, with Hintz and Cozens?

Is this when they signed Rhino to the 1yr deal and basically let him walk into FA.

Yes, it is a few months before they signed Reinhart to the one year $5M deal in the fall of 2020.

Well that's a big fail then isn't it, if that deal was available to Adams.

I think the point I was trying to point out is the one I explicitly made twice now. Every team in the NHL significantly outhits the Buffalo Sabres. Every team, dummy. Every team.

Man they finally got it right, damn we are getting pounded in Hamburg. Snowblowed my driveway twice since 4 this morning. Had to go pull my Wife out of the Ditch on Scranton Rd. at about 5. On her way to Work at Tops on South Park. Nasty out there. Everyone be safe.

0.50 ppg sucks at hockey?
Sabres could obviously use a powerforward, 0.50 ppg isn't bad.

I have all of 4" in North Buffalo. Shoveled it at 3am. Hasnt snowed since. Nothing falling now.

My parents tell me they have 2 feet in Orchard Park with more falling now in droves and they lost power.

Sabres don't even get in the way, half there counted hits is Girgensons tripping over his feet and falling into someone.
